What A Jerk

I like snails. I'd poke it, so that way, I wouldn't be hurting it to the point where it'd die, but at least I'd be causing it somewhat pain.

What does salt do to a slug/snail? I know it does something, and not just from previous comments. Does it like .. shrivel it up? Or just kill it?
